Program Director: Paul V. Miles, MD
2012 – present
Dr. Miles graduated from Stanford University, completed medical school at UCLA and pediatric training at Harbor/UCLA. He was in private pediatric practice from 1975 to 1999 in Twin Falls, Idaho and served as Director of Clinical Quality Improvement and Co-Director of the Center of Excellence in Rural Healthcare at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center. He held adjunct faculty positions at Case Western University School of Medicine and the University of Washington School of Medicine.
From April 1999 to April 2002, Dr. Miles served as Chief Quality Officer and Executive Director of the Center for Clinical Improvement and Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He was responsible for directing quality improvement efforts for the medical center.
In May 2002, Dr. Miles joined the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, as Vice President, Director of Quality Improvement and Assessment Programs in Pediatric Practice, retiring in 2013. He is a former Chair of the Board of Directors of the American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Miles currently serves as the president of the Academy for Healthcare Improvement (AHI) in addition to his role as the Program Director of the Portfolio Program.
Program Manager: Kevin Graves, PMP, MBA
2009 – present
In November 2009, Kevin joined the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) in Lexington, Kentucky as a Project Manager. He is formerly a Solution Project Manager with IBM.
Kevin currently serves as the Program Manager for the Portfolio Program.
Associate Program Manager: Sigita Wolfe, MA
2013 – present
In April 2011, Sigita joined the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) as Manager of MOC/CPD Developmental Programs. She facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of activities related to the advancement of ABMS MOC® programs and standards.
Prior to assuming her role with the ABMS, Sigita served as the primary administrator for the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program, as well as the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of a Chicago-area community hospital. Sigita’s acquaintance with continuing professional development (CPD) for physicians started at the American Medical Association (AMA), Department of Continuing Physician Professional Development (CPPD).
Sigita holds a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (Social Change) degree from North Central College of Naperville, IL. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Alliance for Continuing Medical Education (IACME). She is also a member of the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (ACEHP).
In addition to her manager role at the ABMS, Sigita currently serves as Associate Program Manager for the Portfolio Program.
In September 2013, Ann joined the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) in Lexington, Kentucky as a researcher. She formerly worked as a research coordinator for the University of Kentucky. She maintains a relationship with the University of Kentucky as a research nurse in the College of Pharmacy.
Ann currently serves as the research lead for the Portfolio Program.
