Director: David Price, MD
2014 – present
Dr. Price is certified by the ABFM and has been with the Colorado Permanente Medical Group (CPMG) since 1988, where he is the Director of Medical Education. In addition, Dr. Price is a physician investigator with the Kaiser Permanente Colorado Institute of Health Research where he also is Co-director of the Center for Health Education, Dissemination and Implementation Research. Additionally, Dr. Price is the Director of Medical Education for The Permanente Federation and the Kaiser Permanente Care Management Institute in Oakland, Calif., as well as a Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Price currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education and the American Board of Family Medicine Foundation, and is Chair-elect of the Association of American Medical Colleges section on Continuing Education and Improvement.
From 2003 to 2008, Dr. Price served on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), where he chaired the Research and Development, and Examination (MOC) committees, and was ABFM Board Chair from 2007 to 2008. Dr. Price also has been active in the Colorado and American Academies of Family Physicians.
Manager: Teena Nelson, MHA
2014 – present
Teena joined the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in July of 2014. Prior to joining the ABMS, Teena was with the University of Wisconsin and served as the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Portfolio Program Manager and Performance Improvement (PI) CME lead for the Office of Continuing Professional Development in Medicine and Public Health.
In September 2013, Ann joined the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) in Lexington, Kentucky as a researcher. She formerly worked as a research coordinator for the University of Kentucky. She maintains a relationship with the University of Kentucky as a research nurse in the College of Pharmacy.
Ann currently serves as the research lead for the Portfolio Program.
